Stefanie Bales is a San Diego based contemporary fine artist, gallery owner, and professor, specializing in fine art painting, murals, watercolor, instructional workshops, and custom commissioned projects. She earned a B.F.A in studio arts concentrating in painting, and an M.S. in Educational Counseling with a focus on Art Therapy applications. Stefanie taught at a local design college for over 10 years prior to her own opening her gallery + storefront, Stefanie Bales Fine Art, in the heart of Little Italy. She is inspired by the interaction of light and landscape, as evident in her whimsical typologies and soft, feminine palettes.  Her most recent series are collections of colorful, acrylic and mixed media intuitive paintings- many of which are inspired by the coastal topographies of Southern California, but others are interpretations of geographies that are much less specific.

Stefanie’s client list includes the Balboa Park Conservancy, The San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Fashion Week, The TLC Network, Frost Me Gourmet, the Flower Hill Mall, The Carlsbad Forum, and Park 12 Collection. Her work has been published extensively and is in both public and private collections across the country and internationally.  Stefanie is a long-time resident of Little Italy, San Diego, where she resides with her husband, Scott and son, Weston.
